Definition of terms

Venting to one's friends is a perfectly understandable, healthy, human activity and must be done now and then or one risks turning into a serial killer.

Drama Queen/Martyr syndrome usually contains a great deal of passive aggressive language, generally with the object of evoking guilt in the one being spoken to.

Venting: I'm so busy I can't see straight, feeling burned out, and so tired!

Martyrdom: No one appreciates how hard I work, or seems to sense how tired I am these days. If they only knew how burned out I was feeling, maybe then they'd take some of this burden off me.


You should not worry about these things.
