Of geese and mantras

Lovely sight of the day:

A squadron of six or seven sleek, silvery wild geese flying southeast over 83rd Avenue just before I turned on Lincoln Boulevard. They must have spent the night in the wetlands, just down the hill from 83rd and Lincoln.

And yes on Geisel. Actually, I was listening to an interview with Stan Berenstain who published with Geisel's company and he was feeling lousy about the draft he was working on, and this is what Geisel said in reply.
