Grave considerations

Something silly for a Friday evening.

As much as I love history and archaeology, I think I might like to do something similar to the Archeoblog guy. Maybe my head resting on a porcelain copy of a toilet seat (à la Motel of the Mysteries), a brass bowling trophy at my feet.

Or maybe I'll be cremated.

When I was studying archaeology we had great fun with the problems of interpretation, such as what the future might make of the bases for the little garden sheds that are such a feature of English suburban life; suggestions ranged from "granny flats" to slave quarters.

We also got very silly one end-of-term party, discussing what grave goods we ought to be buried with to give future archaeologists a bit of a chance; one wanted her Le Creuset saucepans, but her partner (also in the class) said, "Not if I outlive you - I want them myself!"
