So here's an interesting thing: back in the day when I was heavily involved with Native American ritual and art, I did a ritual to find my spirit animal. No, you don't have to chug peyote juice and go to the desert for a week to do that, you just have to pay very close attention to your dreams during the time of this ritual. The spirit animal who came to me was the Firewolf, the wolf that guards the hearth and fire. I even have the medicine shield to prove it. ;-)

Some years later when I looked my spirit animal up in Sun Bear's Earth Astrology book, I was the bear.

(Okay, so maybe that wasn't all that interesting to anyone but me, but...)

The bear as described by Sun Bear fit me pretty well. He didn't go on so much about the nobility jazz, though. That just cracks me up.

That's funny... I thought my spirit animal would have been a bear, yet I got a wolf... and you are the opposite. I guess you're just more noble than I am. ;-)

Me grizzly bear too. At least according to this test. According to the Druid Animal Oracle, I'm a ... boar. What's worse, I once (before I pulled a card from said oracle) pulled the boar card in answer to the question, "What is my spirit animal?"

It is interesting how things keep coming up in our lives, isn't it? I'm currently studying the Tarot again and the patterns can sometimes be odd. I even got some of the same cards when I had a reading done (by someone else) a week ago Saturday.

heh...I got the bear as well in the quiz.

Actually, I used to dream-travel and my spirit guide was the bear. First time I met him, he ripped the left half of my face off to teach me something about myself. Strangely enough my first MS exacerbation was the left half of my face going numb.

You forgot to log in, and I forgot what I was meaning to say. What I meant to say was that before I pulled that card from the deck, I dreamed someone came to me and told me I had a superpower, like the X-Men. I was so excited to find out what it was, and then I grew this great big tusk in the middle of my forehead. Boy, was I pissed.

But that's cool. The boar was a very powerful animal. Although growing a tusk out of one's forehead might lead to some awkward social situations.

When I had my Firewolf dream I had never heard of the Firewolf myth. The lady guiding the ritual had to explain it to me. Which I thought was kind of weird.
