Hrm, yes, it is high...it's forgetting what we've learned over the years in D&D, that enough small things will inevitably kill one big thing. 1000 goblins can take down the red dragon.

12 five year olds would kick any adult ass. You hit that point where they'd just overwhelm you.

I live in a household that thinks about this kind of thing too much. :D
