I got lucky and started going to cons almost too long ago to count (my parents are fans, and now we're bringing my own kidlets up within fandom). I hope you get to hang with a bunch of the OWWers. There were a lot of them in Toronto and in Boston, and they were an enjoyable bunch to hang out with, and take the edge off of the "one person in a really big place" sort of feeling.
