I was so not thinking of you when I wrote that. I don't think you're at all comparable to Felix because you've tried other things, you've done other things, you've been involved in the community of writers. He put all his eggs into one basket, one Great American Masterpiece, and never got outside his own head.
The movie is hilarious (or I thought it was a lifetime ago), but yeah, the point was to keep on trying new things and not be a self-important joke.
