I liked the Apropos books, but not so much these Knight Life books.

I agree -- the Apropos books were sarcastic and audacious in the matter of anti-heros -- brilliant... I picked up the Knight Life books thinking that they sounded good, and having liked the others... and found the first one... lacking. I haven't finished it - its been sitting here next to my bed for months now, 1/3 of the way read. *sigh* oh well.

Exactly. I never finished it and it hung around for about 3 years partially finished so I finally recycled it. Such is life.
