I am so envious, both of the writing and of the peach blossoms. While I can't do anything about winter, I can beat myself up over muse failure. Must do better.

No you must NOT beat yourself up. This stuff comes and goes and beating yourself up just scares it further away. I haven't written since November because of family issues but often when I'm blocked for a long time it's because I am either pushing too hard to produce or because I've gone off on a tangent and the material needs me to retrace my steps and figure out where I went wrong OR because I just need to take a creative break. Sometimes you just need to rest those creative muscles like any other muscles.
