Due to an unfortunate meeting with some tainted substance, I experienced the joys of food poisoning early Wednesday morning.  It was a rather virulent case and laid me flat for several days.  I’m definitely better, if still somewhat low energy, but I haven’t touched my blogging universe friends pages since Tuesday and I don’t know if I have the energy to ever catch up.  So if anyone made any announcements they think I should know about, let me know, wouldja?

Sorry to hear this, Pam. Feel better!

I can relate. Food poison knocked me on my butt for over a week once, but that was a long time ago...but I still remember.

ETA: Oh, a friend of my brother's girlfriend's nephew passed a stone over the weekend, but I didn't blog about it. I guess I'm telling the world about it now. ;-)

I'm glad you withheld names to protect the innocent. :-D

They did name the stone, though. Bert. Two pounds, three ounces. ;-)

Awww. I'm sure they were very proud. (But I have to say, OWWW!)

I'm so sorry. I've never had it, but I've had friends who had, and it sounds awful. Do you know what caused it?

The only thing I can think of that's happened in the past few days is that I did a poll, and the laptop is now named Daphne. :)

Thanks.

The thing with food poisoning is that it's usually difficult to figure out exactly which meal did the trick unless more than one person gets ill. You can ingest the offending material up to 48 hours before showing symptoms sometimes.

I hope you never do experience it!

So sorry to hear this. It might be an idea to get a stock of bananas as they are rich in potassium, which will be depleted by the misery.

I had this back in Ontario, courtesy of Dairy Queen, and spent three days in hospital on a drip. I know how painful and draining this is. Take it easy.

You have my full sympathy; went through the same thing myself a couple of weeks ago (and in the middle of it I had to drive from Manchester to Sidmouth). I spent nearly an entire week eating nothing and drinking nothing but rehydration solution.

Oof. This one is still giving me a kick now and then, but at least I didn't have to drive anywhere.
