Absolutely disgusting. I'd like to see whoever is responsible sentenced to several years intense community service - painting over graphiti, picking up trash along roadways, weeding parks, planting trees - they should pay for their ignorant disregard of such a treasure.

The scary thing is people like this have also been known to shoot the wild horses and other animals. Someone who takes pleasure in blatant destruction and cruelty can be a danger to humanity and needs to be stopped.
