Pick up the nearest book to you. Turn to page 45. The first sentence describes your sex life in 2012.

The nearest book to me is a blank journal. Page 45 is like every other page in the book. That would be blank.

Reaching slightly further afield I pick up Rapture in Death by J. D. Robb:

Eve awoke with the cat stretched over her chest and the bedside ‘link beeping.

That sums it up nicely also.

How’s your sex life?

" '- Derry's really not much more than a wide place in the road, and she's probably booked into the next century anyhow, but it can't hurt to try'."

(Insomnia, Stephen King)

But, since that was really a continuation of a sentence on the previous page, perhaps I should take the next one, which is:

"Ralph thought about telling Ham that the only petition he wanted to sign was one asking the gods of sleep to give him back the three hours or so of good rest a night they had stolen away."

Hmmm.
Both of these seem to promise that my sex life will at least be slightly more exciting than last year (which really is not that difficult, since it has been non-existing).

"In response to the question of whether humans consist of only material properties, only spiritual properties, or both material and spiritual properties, 73 percent chose only material properties."

Figures the closest book to me at the moment is Anarchy Evolution. *g*

"The cliff-ghast wrenched off the fox's head, and fought his brothers for the entrails."

Hrm. Doesn't sound promising.

(Book is The Amber Spyglass by Philip Pullman.)

yours is hilarious. Mine is 'the ample suites can comfortably sleep four' because the closest book to me is a travel guide to the Grand Canyon, oh yeah!
