Now, if you've made furniture out of books, I won't disown you or anything. I used to make pedestals for art objects and small end tables out of stacks of ancient World Book Year Books I picked up at thrift stores. But I could never quite bring myself to glue-nail-posthole-urethane them together like a should have to make them solid. I just could not bring myself to destroy a book, any book.
Although I probably would not have a problem doing that to celebrity bios.

Date: 2007-06-28 03:18 pm (UTC)Um, yeah...my family laughs at me because I am so particular about my books. I even try to prevent creases in the bindings of paperbacks. While I have been known to pile books as a nifty little end table, I would never permanently damage them in any way -- and the only thing I displayed on the said end table was a picture frame and another book! *grins sheepishly*
