Inching

Not an impressive word count for the week, but I kicked the c**p out of a couple of old chapters and got them into shape, finished off chapter 25, got chapter 26 started. I also kicked the c**p out of three old stories and sent them back out to fend for themselves.

Back to more productive habits on the novel tomorrow, hopefully. Done--I want it done.

You did better than me. I might have posted but I wrote it out a few days back and didn't do any writing this weekend. Now I am feeling guilty. I did edit a couple of chapters and I have a feeling I should have been far more brutal than I was. Maybe I will wade into them again.

As for the feeling of wanting it done, I am so with you on wanting the same for mine. Except I don't want yours done because then I would have to stop reading it and I don't want to do that.

Good luck with your book. I know the feeling of just wanting to get it done. I just finished the final edit of my book. I had to really focus to get it done.

Thanks, Fred. For me, the first draft is always the worst. Revisions tend to go much more smoothly, even when I'm having to cut words and rearrange stuff. So I'm actually looking forward to being able to revise something! Good luck with your book, too.
