Sequential

I just realized that I forgot to do my weekly word count total on Sunday. I have no idea what my total was as of Sunday because I've been writing like blue blazes (for me), so here's the total as of today. I'm going to go slightly over projection...
but this total represents part of the ending, too. I'm usually a sequential writer—I'm telling myself the story, after all—but I went ahead and wrote part of the end because "the vision" of it came on powerfully one day and I thought I'd better commit it to paper in case it disappeared. I'm working on chapter 29 and there will be a chapter 30, but as I said, that's already partly written so it looks like the first draft will hit 130k. I'm not too worried about that because there's sufficient deadwood in the front end that I think I can quite easily bring the draft back down to 120k—the 1.5st draft. I'm going to sweep through and clear out the worst stuff, fix some continuity errors, before I declare it a finished first.
Almost there.
Random quote of the day:
"There's no one so self-righteous as someone policing someone's else's morality."
—Laurell K. Hamilton, Incubus Dreams
(This is even further proof that I have no pride. I even quote LKH.)
