Faded song
Jan. 15th, 2016 10:10 amRandom quote of the day:
“I cannot say what loves have come and gone,
I only know that summer sang in me
A little while, that in me sings no more.”
—Edna St. Vincent Millay, Sonnet XLIII: “What lips my lips have kissed, and where, and why?”

Date: 2016-01-18 06:31 pm (UTC)Speaking from my croneage, I'm not sure whether it's sad or not. It's the passage of time, the passage into another phase of life for me. Not sure if it was that way for Edna. I've been doing a lot of reconciling with mortality in the last year. I am not fully reconciled. :-) But summer has definitely shifted into something else. I'm hoping I can make something of that that's as good as, or better than. We'll see.
