Actually, they sounded frighteningly like a lot of Star Trek episodes...and I'm not a big watcher of Trek. ;)

Probably the ones I did off the top of my head were inspired by Trek, but the inspiration from this poll came from the weekly advertisements for SciFi's new Flash Gordon. Horrifically derivative plots--but I guess I should expect much from a SciFi Channel retread of Flash Gordon.

I did some of these off the top of my head, but used episode guides for some of these. It's amazing how similar some of them were!

Pretty much the standard set of derivative TV show plots. TV's big on recycling. :-)
