I liked him. Once. Then, he made me mad. So now he is dead to me. Except when I use him to illustrate authors who use footnotes and the fans who love them.
Who, Crichton or David Almond? Crichton lost me when I made the mistake of reading his memoirs, which I subtitled, "Enormous Ego Wanders the World Thinking It Revolves Around Him."
Chrichton. He lost me when he failed to reveal whether or not the wife in PREY had her affair before or after she was infected. It was the only reason I kept reading. And he never answered it. It was a total plot contrivance. I felt so dirty and used after.
