The title of the post first reminded me of Paul Simon's the myth of fingerprints. ("It's the myth of fingerprints... man, they're all the same"). That everybody's fingerprint is still a fingerprint... that we're all still people, and we shouldn't take advantage of each other.
The Yeats quote I interpret as meaning each person has their own, unique, myth that they follow.
It was a misinterpretation of your title to be sure, but it was illuminating, too. I got to see two artistic views of reality (which, to some extent, I believe) butting heads.
I don't know...they're both talking about the uniqueness of each human being in a way. We may all be human and the same in that way, but in the end our fingerprints are different. We are unique within our sameness.
