Random quote of the day:

“Hollywood is wonderful. Anyone who doesn’t like it is either crazy or sober.”

Or possibly crazy sober?

That is what I feel I am after over 18 months of very rare indulgence. I think I have had maybe six glasses of wine and a couple shots of Scotch in that entire time. I'm not at all a heavy drinker, but I do sometimes think that in trying to avoid indulging out of stress, grief or pain, it IS possible to err to much in the other direction.

Crazy sober isn't NEARLY as much fun as crazy drunk. Just saying...

True, true. Oddly enough, we've drank SO damned little since cancer therapy began - I'm having a helluva time convincing myself that the "Yay, fall rains!" celebratory Scotch would be ok!? Odd, odd, and sad.

I drink coffee as a poor substitute for tea - which I HAD to give up due to allergy issues, so I definitely sympathize with losing a favored beverage!

LOL, and THAT is precisely how I feel about coffee instead of tea! I never drank coffee till I was 45 years old.

Today was no coffee. My physical revealed crazy cholesterol counts, out of bounds for my usual diet. My inactivity could be the issue; but I had a mad idea because no doc EVER yelled about that LDL count till I was 47. By then, I was cutting sweets, eating healthier and exercising more. Then I realized some people react to COFFEE that way - I began drinking coffee just two years before the doctor began fretting. So six months of trial to see if dropping that alone affects my LDL.
