Random quote of the day:

"The whole process of writing is Wile E. Coyote heading off a cliff and not realizing there’s no ground beneath him, so he can keep on running. The moment he looks down, and his confidence fails, he plummets."

—Neil Gaiman

Ira Hayes, the Pima Indian man who helped raise the flag at Iwo Jima, whose image was captured in that iconic image of World War II, may finally get to rest in peace. His stolen death mask has finally been returned to his family. He had a tragic life and he deserves some respect. And definitely some peace.

Who knew Jane Austen's Regency England was so beset by monsters? I certainly didn't, but thanks to Norilana Books we can now read all about it. Vera Nazarian has dusted off Mansfield Park to find the hidden, sinister—and did I mention hilarious?—facts.

A superior mash-up, to be sure.
