I hadn't made up my mind until the last couple of days, and I'm more leaning than deciding. There were a number of things that were p***ing me off about many of the candidates, but none of them were giving me any warm fuzzies. The ones I really liked (Richardson, Dodd) didn't have a snowball's chance in a slushy machine of winning, so I was doing the realpolitik schtick and looking at those leading in the polls...and feeling kind of nauseous. I want my vote to count.
That is correct. I don't wish to throw my vote away like those people who voted for Nader and elected Bush. Besides, now all the minority candidates I would consider voting for are now out of the race.
So, a vote for person a) is a throwaway because "it doesn't count" when a vote for person b) matters because it is one out of 55 million and might tip the scales?
