The reason I don't spend hours every day writing in the hopes of someday being published: A just couldn't handle all the rejection.

You guys you who don't give up have some serious character that I admire greatly.

Seriously? It gets somewhat easier with time and practice. It's always disappointing, but for me it's no longer the end of the world.

Rejection is like wood on the fire. The more you get the more you burn. The key, for me anyway, is to then use all those BTUs for good.

That's a healthy attitude. I have to admit that when I first started getting rejections, they used to get to me more. Now it's more of a motivation to make more and make better. Although I'd prefer the non-rejections. :-)
