Yep, it's a sign of the Apocalypse, or at the very least the end of Western Civilization. Certainly it's worth nonstop press converage for two days straight: Britney Spears has shaved her head.

Actually, I feel marginally more sympathetic towards Britney because her mother inflicted this lifestyle on her and when she finally broke away from that dominance it was a disaster.

Yeah, I'm right there with you. As far as I see it, she's always been trying to just get a normal, steady relationship going with someone, but doesn't seem to be able to find anyone who will help her rather than hurt her. definitely in need of counseling.

Yep, and as I clicked onto yahoo just now I saw she's already left the rehab in Malibu. 1) I hate that we're being bombarded with this for *our* sake; 2) I hate it for her sake, too.

Yeah. That's just dumb. We don't want to know this, and anyone who does should be forced to hunt for it. It's not the duty of the mass media to give us what the lowest denominator wants, it's their duty to keep us informed about what's important.

hah...yeah, my mother called from Denmark to talk about Britney Spear's head. I was completely baffled at the importance of someone we don't know's lack of hair.

On the other side, I think it's sad that the whole world has to watch and gobble up her life seemingly falling apart.
