I kept alternately in my WIP between paw and foot, then it occurred to me yesterday both are probably wrong, but "standing on his back claw" didn't sound right either.
European roosting dragon, European cave dragon, Chinese dragon, Vietnamese cave dragon, wyverin, drake, dragonkin, monster of gargouille, Greek hydra, Russian three-headed serpent... We needs details.
I got a review about this that, as far as I remember, told me not just to write claws/talons, but to include the feet/paws. So I'd say they have both...I guess what they have depends on the nature and look of your dragon.
For me a dragon is a reptile. I therefore look at the nearset living example to something approximating a dragon and that would probably be a kimono dragon (big lizard). Those are the little footsies I would be describing if I need to do this.
Feet with talons. I kept alternating back and forth. Bluchadawa is more like your classic Chinese dragon with four legs and a long body. But with wings.
