Interesting tidbit of the day: Apparently, Dowie, the four-year-old black cat who lived on the Lusitania as the mascot of the stokers, jumped ship the night before she sailed on her doomed voyage after twice being "rescued" and brought back on board.

In fact, there's quite a bit of lore about cats (and other critters) taking a bunk just before disastrous ship sinkings.

I've always thought that if Min starts acting strange I'll know an earthquake is coming, but...she's a very odd little cat. How could I tell the difference? :-)
