Here's what the astrologers** have to say:

Exciting news, now that they have the correct birth time for John McCain.

And the excitement mounts now that they have the official birth time for Barack Obama.

But we know what this election is really about, don't we? It's Neptune versus Neptune.

And so, given all the frenzied analysis, Nancy calls the election.

*Yes, this song really did come up while I was composing this post. However, the first song that came up was "It'll Happen" by the Punch Brothers.

Astrology based on birth time? What's the astrological implication of induced labor, I wonder?

Well, that's what I mean-- if it's natural, then at least there's some argument that the stars could affect personality. I've sometimes wondered if there might be some kind of annual cycle in a mother's body chemistry that could affect mental development of the fetus. But the stars would have to be delving into the minds of physicians for there to be astrological implications to birth time, nowadays, and those are some pretty activist stars. In that case, a person is moving away from astrology and more toward, perhaps, theology.
