Especially when you have a neighbor across the street who likes to give parties in the backyard, get drunk, then turn the karaoke machine up to 11—so loud you can hear it blocks away—and sing off key and belt-it-outastic renditions of the Best of the Fifties.
I have a long and painful history of neighbors with an affection for karaoke.
I must have really bad musical karma.
