Continuing difficulties and quote
Jul. 29th, 2008 11:39 amSome of the difficulties continue, some are fixed. If I didn't work on both a PC and a Mac I wouldn't be talking to you now, but here I am. Ironically, I experienced some difficulties at home last night, too, but things eventually settled down. I'm thinking the terrorists have discovered some wicky wacky Internet Confubulation Machine and has been zapping random areas of the country. Either the terrorists or the Bush Administration.
Anyway, here's the quote:
Random quote of the day:
"Even the sacred barley drink separates when it is not stirred."
--Heraclitus, Fragment 125
(Actually, this particular translation is by William Harris, professor emeritus at Middlebury College. He says this is fragment 50. John Burnet, who in 1908 translated this fragment as, "Even the posset separates if it is not stirred," called this fragment 83. There seems to be some kerfluffle about where this fragment actually sits in the list of Fragments, but many say it's 125. Aren't you glad that got added to your store of knowledge? I know I am.)
