pjthompsonBecause I am a lemming and lots of folk are meming it, here are my twenty comments directed at people I know...
(I'm assuming not all of these people still have to be living or part of LJverse.)
1. You're full of brightness. Your enthusiasm is contagious.
2. It's like you're born under a dark star. I grieve for you. I wish I could help. I can't.
3. You aren't immortal. Eventually, the world will catch up with you and you'll be full of regret. You don't believe that now.
4. Regret is inevitable. It's only what you do with it afterwards that matters. Regret is not a life sentence.
5. It's okay to be a fool. Fools are blessed with divine magic. Plus, it's much more fun.
6. You're a decent person and you want to help, but sometimes you get too caught up in the wolf pack mentality. The wolf pack is not the world.
7. I love you. I have no qualifiers on that, no conditions. I just love you.
8. What would happen if you didn't get it all done in a day? Would the world end? Or would you finally be able to take a deep breath and smell the roses? Or would you just have to find some other reason to be afraid?
9. You don't like to be held accountable for anything. Everyone is supposed to love you and forgive you anything because you're so darned cute. But it hurts the people who love you. It hurts them a lot.
10. I'm proud of you for taking risks. I know it sometimes feels like dying to you, but you do it anyway.
11. Your empathy reminds me of a boa constrictor.
12. You're a kind person, honorable, and you love a good time. Yeah.
13. Please be a little less giving to everyone else and take better care of yourself.
14. You have the ability to make everyone you talk to feel like they are your best friend and that they are truly important. It's a gift and you wear it well.
15. How can someone who claims to be so close with the Prince of Peace be so gleeful about slitting throats?
16. Why does positive reinforcement scare you? Why does a heartfelt expression of emotion make you cynical? These are the things of a genuine life. Everything else is cardboard.
17. It's better to promise nothing than to promise things you don't do. Repeat after me: actions speak louder than words.
18. Your vitriol isn't about the people you mock. It's about you and the things you hate in yourself.
19. You have an innate grace that's as vast as the sea and leaves me standing on the shore in awe of you.
20. You have shown great courage in the face of a terrifying event. You're scared because it's enormous, but you're still dealing with it. Wow.
