Update on mom

The doctor admitted her to the hospital last night. Even though she appeared to be getting better—and her fever had practically gone away—she apparently had a massive infection and some of the bacteria had gotten into her bloodstream. That's not good because the bacteria can attach elsewhere in the body and cause problems. So they've got her hooked up to intravenous anti-biotics and are monitoring her carefully. She'll probably be in there a few days, maybe as long as a week, but we're hoping not that long. The doctors are pleased with her progress and she's feeling better, but it's been a scary time.
