Random quote of the day:

"[Andy Warhol] believed that you could only break the rules if you knew what they were."

Interesting factoid about Andy Warhol. Apparently, he was an amazing pack rat. He never threw any scrap of paper away—nothing—but periodically swept everything up into boxes which he sealed and stored. There were gazillions of them when he died. But his estate couldn't just chuck the lot because mixed in with dry cleaning receipts and business cards and reminders to buy eggs were napkins on which he doodled (worth millions), party lists (of great social-historical significance), as well as scraps of artwork he didn't feel like dealing with, etc., etc. I saw a TV report on this a few years back. They had to carefully go through each box, sorting and resorting to make sure they weren't missing anything. And they still had gazillions of boxes to go.

Now, if only the boxes of stuff I didn't feel like dealing with that are still out in the garage had some artistic, social-historic, or any other significance...If only some of that c**p was worth millions...
