I knew what I was doing all the time
Feb. 14th, 2007 03:10 pmChapter 13 is nearly done, and when that's done I'm mere "moments" away from turning the story and heading in a new direction. I wasn't sure I'd get there this soon, but I'm glad I did.
Of course, along the way I had to revise chapter 12 yet again and there's still a chapter 14 to go before the turn is successfully completed, but I see the story between here and there quite clearly now. The rocky road has gotten smoother.
I can't see around all the bends in the road yet, so I may (probably will) hit more rocky patches, but I feel pretty good about this. The story is turning at approximately the place I wanted to turn. I was afraid there for awhile that it wouldn't. I guess the backbrain knew what it was doing after all.
Random quote of the day:
"Money is a terrible master but an excellent servant."
