Amazon Fail

All I can say is that I'm glad I bought my big bad gay nautical romance at B&N not Amazon. Go Alex Beecroft! I might never have known about you if Amazon had gotten away with "protecting me."

If you've managed to miss this (I did until this evening due to total house upheaval), Lilith Saintcrow has a comprehensive round up.

This is so wrong and so bone-headed on so many levels.

I'm not sure what to believe with this. If it was a hacker, like I've heard, then at best they're still incompetent. I'm holding onto my money for a while to see what else comes out (so to speak).

I know. It's hard to say if it's just monumental incompetence, bad programming and PR, hacking, but as you said...bad. And it does point up how bad of an idea it is to let any company dominate the market like this. We sort of learned that with Microsoft...except not. :-)
