Random quote of the day:
"In spite of the cost of living, it’s still popular."
—attributed to Kathleen Norris (1880-1960)
I don't usually list the life dates of the person I'm quoting, but in this case I did it to distinguish between Kathleen Norris, the early 20th century novelist who wrote Through a Glass Darkly, amongst others, and Kathleen Norris the contemporary poet and spiritual writer (Dakota: A Spiritual Geography). As far as I can tell, this quote belongs to the first woman, though I couldn't definitively prove it. Sometimes the elder Ms. Norris is listed as Kathleen Thompson Norris, but I think that's a modern convention to distinguish the two ladies. She didn't write under that name.

Disclaimer: The views expressed in this random quote of the day do not necessarily reflect the views of the poster, her immediate family, Siegfried and Roy, Leonard Maltin, or the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. They do, however, sometimes reflect the views of the Cottingley Fairies.
