Random quote of the day:
"If I had influence with the good fairy who is supposed to preside over the christening of all children I should ask her to gift each child in the world with a sense of wonder so indestructible that it would last throughout life, as an unfailing antidote against boredom and the disenchantments of later years, the sterile preoccupation with things that are artificial, the alienation from the sources of our strength."

Date: 2006-10-07 08:27 am (UTC)A sense of wonder is something I actively try to cultivate within myself. Most times, all it takes is a change of perspective--if you are looking at micro, take a moment to appreciate the larger picture. The enormity of something getting you down? Take a moment to appreciate the beauty and intricacy of something infestimal.
Also, all my blessings in this life are a constant sense of wonder to me.
