And so, the man who gunned down the doctor while he was serving as an usher in church is thinking of pleading justifiable homicide.

"Until this moment, I think I never really gauged your cruelty or your recklessness."

Demagogues do what demagogues do, and it's up to the rest of us—who do have a sense of decency—to tell them they are vile and base murderers. They are not Christians, not even close. They think of themselves as blessed martyrs fighting the good fight, but they are thugs and completely opposed to the true spirit of Christ.

I do not understand how they can profess themselves pro-life and yet are so willing to kill to prove it.

I have firm views on the rights of unborn children and reluctant parents. If there is a medical or a psychological reason to terminate a pregnancy, then there is no issue. If the child is healthy and the result of a mistake, it would be nice to let the child come to term and give it up to a childless couple desperate for a healthy baby to bring up as their own. However, it is the right of any woman to have a say in what happens to her body. She is not a breeding machine and should not be treated as such. If she choose to not have the child, then she should have safe and secure options and not a back street clinic.

Gunning down a doctor, who aids these women and prevents them going to grisly abortionists in some foul setting, is morally wrong. This is someone who knows what would happen if he were not around to help these women.

Justifying the action under religion is the act of a hypocrite and a chauvinist. I don't have the time of day for any religious fanatic, whatever their particular credo or belief. What I would do with them is round all of them up into a bullet proof compound, arm them and let them annihilate each other. If there were any left standing, I would inject a few more of the opposing beliefs in to continue the mayhem.

Nothing, in any book of religion, preaches that it is right to take the lives of innocents. These people are not representative of the beliefs they try to ram down the throats of normal people by their violent actions. They are rabid and the rabid should have full ability to eliminate themselves for the furtherance of what they erroneously perceive as their religion.

Maybe, one group set against the other with no holds barred would give each person a sense of righteousness before he died. I don't really care. They would be performing one useful task for the rest of humanity and that is removing themselves from the gene pool.

My point. That is why I would prefer to get a collection of these madmen into a cage to duke it out. There is no justification for murder. There never has been, or will be.

I would pit the people responsible for 9/11 against the so-called Christian activists in a nanosecond. They deserve each other and the rest of the moral and humane world does not deserve to have them around. The less lunatics out there, then the better for the rest of us.

I've noticed that most people who proclaim themselves "pro-life" are also pro-death penalty. I guess they only mean certain types of life.

Okay, I'm totally going to hell for this (okay, not just for this) but now I have an image in my head of Stallone as Jesus, bruised and bloody, shouting out "Magdalene! Magdalene!"

Over the last twenty years I have been amazed and baffled as to how Christ has been transformed into a militant. I grew up going to Catholic school and have read the bible extensively, but I did not recognize JC in "The Passion of the Christ." WTF? Where's the prince of peace guy hiding? What would Jesus do? He'd be sending viruses to the "internet marketplace" over turning this violent/militant BS, that's what he would be doing.

On another related topic. Why are all the creepy child abductors middle aged white guys? I wanna change of my racial designation!

Rant off

Right on!

The killing of that doctor was a bad move overall:

So, if abortion is a sin, one cannot correct one sin by committing another.

So, if abortion is not a sin, to kill someone because you disagree with them is just not on.

There are better ways to handle things. It's a shame much of humanity haven't figured that one out.
