When I was a kid and had to do most of the family's laundry as one of my chores, whenever I'd empty the lint trap I'd wonder if that stuff could be used for something, perhaps even sewn together as cloth.

I'd sometimes deliberately not empty the trap between different coloured loads so I could build strata. :D

lol--Back in my papermaking days, I got all excited thinking I could use the lint to simplify the process. But it turns out that the oils from the softener and the body which wore the close and the detergent gum things up.

But like the true crafty sort that I am, I can't help thinking, like you, that it must be good for *something.* Felt making?

Apparently we could make portraits with it. We'd probably need some spray glue, or something.

Everything's good for something. That's why I have a giant pile of craft crap that my about-to-be-walking kid is in danger of getting into, and I have no time to clean it in any reasonable, safe way.
