I've posted some pictures of that mysterious ground cover that's blooming all over the yard. Anyone have any idea what this is? We may be cultivating a weed for all I know, but it's a pretty weed.

Here's the little varmint on an interesting background.

Callas with mystery ground cover.

And here's the tinfoil stingray from Gladstone's. The crab and the handbag went home with Lynn.

And when you open up the top, this is what it looks like:

And more flowers just because I felt like it.

Daffodils. Or are those narcissus? At any rate, the iris and daffodils are gone from the yard this week and only these pictures remain.

I know it's not the point of the post, but..uhm... are those two dudes with horses' heads up there? I think that's a situation where context is very important...

That said, the plants are rather lovely.

I think it is red leaf clover. I'm going to try to find pics on the net.

hmmm....maybe not "red" but a variation thereof. The reds that I see say that they have pale chevrons, but yours are dark. The flower looks the same, though.

Weeds!

Yeah, the clover's safe.

However, you've got one noxious weed there in the calla lillies. {g}

(trivia: calla lillies are considered a noxious weed in Western Australia and are exterminated on sight. Non-natives aren't welcome here.)

I was going to say, looks like a variety of clover to me.
