I'm with you. My laptop is ancient, my Blackberry doesn't have a big enough screen for me to read books on, I am ALL OVER THIS.

You know those giangantic universal remotes that you can give as gag gifts? It kind of reminds me of one of those.

They look very cool, but the name is rather unfortunate, don't you think? I mean, their development team must not have *any* women on it. ;)

I think they're very cool looking. I'd have to look at it though since I have a feeling I wouldn't like it for reading. I'm too spoiled by e-ink tech, I think. But other stuff, it seems cool! And the price point is killer.

Sony Reader, Kindle, and I think Nook also uses it. It's the droplet tech that forms the words in the screen.

I think it looks like a good multifunction product but not for the dedicated ebook market. If it has the screen I think it has, you might as well just keep reading off your laptop.

That said, I also think if Apple wants to crack the ebook market, the way to kill the Kindle is not through tech but through price. Because as of right now, people can just downloaded Kindle for PC onto the iPad and then download Kindle books through that to read.

Basically, I'm waiting for the usual suspects to get it and then report back to me, lol.

Yeah, exactly. I'd read on my laptop if I wanted to read a backlit screen. eink is so much better.

I'd wait for the second generation anyway. First gen apple products always suck and are missing major features, and usually cost more.
