She made a difference to me and those of us who read her work. True peace, Ms. Baker, true peace. Sincere condolences to her family and friends.

In the Garden of Iden is one of my favorite books. I knew this was coming fast, but the news still brings tears to my eyes.

Me, too. She was one of those totem writers for me, Irreplaceable. And I agree about Iden. And many of the stories were little masterpieces. "Son Observe the Time," "The Angel in the Darkness," "Nightmare Mountain," so many, many more.

Because the wheel of life is sad and we're all just slowly rotating on it. But we do make a difference, each and every one of us, who try to do some good in this world. It may not be the sweeping change of leading a moment, but if it puts a spark of hope in someone else's heart, that's pretty damned important, too.
