And I forgot to mention that the other unique feature of my apartment building—the unearthly strains of the Karaoke From On High—has started up again. I heard him at least twice last week, though he has turned down the volume quite a bit. So much so that I thought but couldn't quite hear him singing "America the Beautiful" a la Ray Charles...except without the talent.

Almost hearing what he's singing is *so* much more annoying than being able to hear every word.

Yeah, it just sort of picks at your brain without really entering it.

I try to look at this as great potential for future stories.

As Kevin said, I think I moved into a Twilight Zone building. Most of the neighbors are fine, nice people. I get along well with most everyone except Upstairs.
