LOL--that's certainly true. Been there, done that. Visual and tactile arts are much more expensive to do than writing, which is another reason I'm no longer doing them. :-) Actually, in my heart of hearts, I'm a writer. It's my obsession. As much as I love tactile arts, they are just things I do between writing gigs.
Ceramics is fairly cheap until it's been fired. It's pretty much just mud, and if you don't like the result, you can throw it in the reclaim bucket. :)
But I hate it when a polymer clay thing doesn't work out because that's pricey and can't easily be reclaimed.
I'm equally obsessed with writing and making stuff. I need more hours in the day, or a second brain. :)
