I'm feeling relieved and proud that the Democrats finally scraped up enough nerve to do what was right, for once. I know there was politics involved in this, too. I'm not that naive. But for once they didn't let Those Who Yelled Loudest take the day.

Date: 2010-03-22 11:16 pm (UTC)What I hate is that the anti-health care people are characterizing those who want it as "people on welfare and illegal aliens who don't want to work and pay taxes." (I actually read that on one comment line.) There's a fundamental misunderstanding of just who the uninsured are. Often they are very hard working American citizens who pay taxes but just got unlucky.
