Not to argue with this post, but H. P. Lovecraft probably said that because he was a horror writer. I bet romance writers would say the strongest emotion is love or jealously. Don't know what the equivalent is for SF/F. Sensawunda isn't an emotion, it's a state of mind. ;-)
