It's only been the past few years that I would stop reading a book w/out finishing it. I think it has to do with the size of my tbr pile.

The size of the TBR is one factor, but not wasting my precious time is the bigger factor. The older I get, the less time I want to waste on stuff I find obnoxious, not matter how much its been recommended, hyped, etc.
