Does it have no purpose? I wouldn't say it's purpose-driven, necessarily. Certainly, I've done it, and I know many artists who do it, without any specific purpose, per se. But I don't quite want to say it has no purpose. If nothing else, it presents a different way of looking at the world than the usual 9-to-5. But is that "a purpose"? I dunno.

Art has purpose...but I'm too damned tired (and too swamped with work) to say much beyond that. Oh, except to add imo--YMMV, of course.
