Things I thought of blogging about today:

Mindfulness

Why I didn't blog it:

I forgot.

Livingness of the day:

I had a health scare last week which fortunately (!) turned out to be a false alarm, but I had a rather bad most-of-a-week. Not life-threatening, but major changes. My concentration sucked, didn't get any writing done. I finally got cranking again today, but it was painfully slow-going, only about 400 words. Still, the train is moving again.

I hope to be more mindful from now on. :-) I've discovered that I'm not immortal, after all. Dang. But at least I'm still mortal! Huzzah. I hope to stay mortal for as long as I possibly can.

Random quote of the day:

"Everything you have acquired of value is locked inside you. If you have a dream, now is the time to pursue it, before you buy furniture."

—Jerry Zucker, University of Wisconsin commencement address

I remember giving that same advice (ruefully) to a graduating senior when I'd been out of college a handful of years. And had bought furniture. She thought it was a good idea, but I've wondered many times since if she did succumb to the sirenic allure of couches.

Staying mortal is good.

Glad you're okay dude. I *hate* health scares. They throw me off, too. can't concentrate or write or anything.

And yay adventures before couches!

Sorry to hear about a tough week.

Also, couches are soft and kitties like them.

Glad to hear that you are okay. Nothing like a health scare to wake you up.
