I couldn't get through to Zokutou yesterday, so here it is.

An interesting phenomena has occurred. (Well, interesting to me, though I'm sure to no on else.) When I first got my Neo I was so enthused I did double my usual word count every week. Now I've dropped down to my old word count. Things are ever so much simpler with the Neo, but apparently when I used to key in the longhand I did a lot of extra fixing and writing that brought my word count up. Now that I'm not keying anything in, I'm doing it initially. Or something. Who the hell knows?

This week (as of yesterday):

Zokutou word meterZokutou word meter
73,250 / 100,000
(73.3%)

Last week:

70,250 / 100,000
(70.3%)

It's always sad when the new-toy euphoria wears off... ;-)

Well, in the long run you do still save time... and you would get more words if you also used the old transcription time to make new words, wouldn't you? So in that regard, you're getting the same amount of production over less time, which works to your advantage.
