Today I did a little writing, but mostly a "reassessment of where I'm going" on CWF to make sure I haven't gone off on a tangent. There were three big plot elements I wasn't exactly sure fit into the narrative flow, or where they fit. I'm still not sure about a couple of them, but I'm pretty sure where one of them fits now, and I've got a vague idea about the other. One still sits glaringly on the sidelines, taunting me. I'm going to make a concerted effort not to write a super-long book or something with sequels dangling off its end. I just don't want to go there again. So although that plot element is neato kobeato, I may just have to abandon it. We'll see. It's early days yet.

Vote for me because I lost weight? Because as insurance commissioner I'm showing how to positively effect the actuarial tables?

Unfortunately, this guy is the Democratic candidate, Cruz Bustamante. Every night my answering machine has messages from my close personal friends, Barbara Boxer and Antonio Villaraigosa and the like, asking me to vote for Cruz or Angelides. Those two races are close and hopeless, respectively. *sigh*
